Vision can be such a misused term within the church. When we say “vision” we want you to know specifically the direction we are going at Trinity Baptist Church. We know we are not a perfect church. This is why one of the more common things you will here from us is: “Come Grow With Us”.
Our Goal is to grow. But, it is not to grow just for the sake of growing. We want to grow into a church that closely resembles God’s design for church. Therefore, our Vision Statement brings together three passages from the Bible that give us a blueprint to follow as a body of believers. With this Vision Statement, we are welcoming our people to evaluate our church. We want to ask the hard questions. We want to be held accountable to growing as a church that resembles this vision.

Where We Find This in the Bible
Acts 2:42-47 42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.
Matthew 28:18-20 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. Our Mission
“We Exist to bear the image of God for the Glory of God”
We were created in the image of God to bear the image of God. God’s plan for man since the fall has been to restore man from their fallen state. Romans 8:29 reminds us that God’s plan for His people is to conform them to the image of His Son. Therefore, in all we do we ought to desire to bear the image of God in such a way that it brings glory to God. Bringing glory to God is simply exalting His name in our life. This is done through our actions and our words. God’s name is worthy of being glorified (lifted up, exalted, bragged on). We were created to bear the image of God, but to bear it in such a way that it honors and exalts the name of God. Therefore, in all we do we seek to bring glory to the name of God.

At Trinity, we want everyone to know they are welcome and invited to be a part of what God is doing here. Our church is continually growing – not just in numbers, but in faith and love. We don’t claim to have everything figured out, but we are committed to pursuing God together and becoming the church He wants us to be.
